Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR)

What is MFR and How does it work?

What is MFR?

Myofascial Release is an approach that takes a whole body view and identifies restrictions in the body. MFR is a very safe and effective hands on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion so you can get back to living your life the way you want.

This hands-on approach may be the way for you to heal from chronic pain and dysfunctions that limit you from enjoying everyday activities to the fullest.

How does MFR work?

Through trauma in your normal life: falls, surgery, habitual poor posture, thwarted informatory responses and other actions, fascia has a tendency to tighten, solidify and constrict. The restricted fascia then pulls around the surrounding structures through the continuous web of fascia. Left uncorrected, the fascial web will reorganize to support and reinforce these areas that are subjected to increased tensions which causes the restrictions to spread. Myofascial release can alleviate these restrictions and allow your body to function optimally. A properly functioning body will help you get back to the activities that you enjoy.
